Cindy Sherman: Transformations (excerpt, artnewyork.org)

I find Cindy Shermans abundant characters surrounded by her work enthralling. With the application of make-up, different wigs and clothes, she can change from a Hitchcock girl, a housewife to a woman victim to abuse. These nostalgic grainy images of a designated reproduction of past time are beautiful to see.  Although she doesn't give us any assistance to formulate the tale behind them, they are left for us to articulate.

This is something that I want to show within my work this almost theatrical re-tale of stories to which we as the audience know nothing about. Performance or Photography with feminist undertones.
